Romanian singer. She is most known for her lautareasca music genre, witch also earned her the nickname of "Regina cantecului lautaresc" (Romanian for "Queen of the lautaresc song"). She began to sing at the age of only 7 years old, trained by her father who was also a musician. During her career, which spanned for over 60 years, she composed many songs, such as "Saraiman," "Cine-a pus carciuma-n drum," "Deschide, gropare, mormantul," and "Lume, lume."
