Notes: * Son of James Cheesman and Charltte (nee Jolly), of Kenley, Surrey. * Possibly Shot Down By A Night Fighter South of Subotica, Yugoslavia During A Special Operation Supply Drop to Poland * Prior to joining Bomber Command, Ronald served with the Home Guard, 58th (Purley) Batt. He enrolled on the 16th March 1942. He was living at 3 Station Cottages, Kenley. His mother was his next of kin and was living at the same address. His father was also listed as resident, on the electoral registers * Father - James Cheesman. D.O.B. 25 Jan 1901. Mother - Charlotte Jolly. D.O.B. 1 Sep 1894
