Posting on Death: 3 LIGHT ANTI AIRCRAFT REGIMENT RAA, Vic. Paybook photograph of VX33092 Gunner Ronald Frederick Maskell, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner Maskell, aged 26, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 20 May 1941. He was the son of Ernest and Mary Jane Maskell, of Shepparton, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency. He is commemorated on the Roll of Honour in SHEPPARTON VIC, also his name is located at panel 21 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial
