Paybook photograph of VX33202 Gunner Ronald William McQuienn, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner McQuienn, aged 23, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of Kenneth Roderick and Beatrice Eliza McQuienn, and the husband of Sarah May McQuienn, of of Gardenvale, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10.
