Vx33202 Posting on Death: Unit 3 Light Anti Aircraft Regiment RAA Description Vic. Paybook photograph of VX33202 Gunner Ronald William McQuienn, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner McQuienn, aged 23, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of Kenneth Roderick and Beatrice Eliza McQuienn, and the husband of Sarah May McQuienn, of of Gardenvale, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10. Both the McQuienn brothers were killed in action during the evacuation of Crete on May 29 1941. He is commemorated on the Roll of Honour in Watchem Vic, also his name is located at panel 21 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial. Son of Kenneth Roderick and Beatrice Eliza McQuienn, of Watchem, Victoria; husband of Sarah May McQuienn, of Gardenvale, Victoria, Australia.
