In memoriam

Also known by the stage name, Rod Riffler. Son of Makso and Ilka Lang Ungar. His father, a merchant, was born in Osijek. Rudolf was raised with two sisters, Marie Louise, Marija, and younger brother, Rafael. He opened a School of Dance in Zagreb was one of the best teachers of modern dance at the time. His most notable student was Lea Deutsch, a Jewish child actress. Rudolf was murdered in Jasenovac Concentration Camp at the age of 34 years.
