Stanislav Alojz “Stan” Hribschek

Stanislav "Stan" Alojz Hribschek was born in Bjelovar, Croatia on November 22nd, 1955. Stan was the only child of Dragica Glasić (b. Ciglenica) and Alojz Hribschek (b. Slovenia). Stan had two elder siblings, Branko and Maria care of his mother's first marriage. At age 3, Stan migrated to Australia with his parents and siblings. Despite moving to Australia at a young age, he remained fluent in the Croatian language. On May 20th, 1974 he married his bride Elizabeth in Melbourne, Australia. Elizabeth and Stan had several children. In 1980, his father Alojz passed away at his home in St. Albans, Melbourne, Victoria. On November 20th, 2006 his mother Dragica passed away in Zagreb, Croatia. Stan passed away at home in Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia. His body was cremated, and his remains were laid to rest in the Glasić family grave in Ciglenica, Croatia. Funeral services were organized by his sister Maria whom travelled from Australia with her husband to ensure her brother was laid to rest with dignity and respect. Stan was survived by his children, his siblings Branko and Maria and their respective spouses and children. Stan is remembered by his sister Maria as being easy-going and whom never spoke a harsh word against anyone. He was loved and is deeply missed by his surviving family members.
