Son of Ivan Petrič. "Tragic death of a young Ljubljana student. On Thursday afternoon in Kranj a student at the Ljubljana Faculty of Arts, Stanko Petrič, suffered a fatal accident. He was gathering ivy along the bank of the Kokra River to decorate a hall for a high school student dance that was to take place today, 5 January. While he was picking he slipped and fell 30 m down the cliff into the Kokra River. The unfortunate student cracked his skull and broke his left arm in the fall. The critically injured young man was taken home and offered medical assistance, but he died from his serious injuries on Thursday night. The deceased was a gifted student, a tireless contributor to many national societies, and had a gentle character. His tragic death aroused sympathy across Kranj.
