Stela Popescu

Actress. She graduated from the National University of Theatre and Film I.L. Caragiale and had a very recognized career on the theatrical stage, film, and television. She appeared in the theater for 50 years where she performed in such plays as "Sfântul Mitică Blajinul", "Plicul", and "Trei surori". She started in films in the 1958 film "Alo? Ați greșit numărul!", and had notable performances in "Astă-seară dansăm în familie" (1972), "Nea Mărin miliardar" (1979), "In fiecare zi mi-e dor de tine" (1987), and "Mamaia" (2013). While still in the theater and film, she also appeared in television series such as "Războiul sexelor" (2007), "Regina" (2008), "Aniela" (2009), and "Iubire și Onoare" (2011). In 2004, she was decorated with the National Order „Meritul Cultural, Arta Spectacolului” for her entire career, and in 2015, she was decorated with the National Order „Steaua României” for her love and talent for the Dramatic Art.
