In memoriam

As early as 1991, an unemployed worker from the village of Parsovići joined the Green Berets, a Klis unit where he remained until the last day of his life. Although he was an excellent student at the Elementary School in Parsovići, he ended his life in the sign of his fatal number two - on December 22, 1992, in an attempt to unblock besieged Sarajevo. He was killed by two bullets, in the head and chest, fired from well-established Chetnik positions, which they attacked. Suljo Žiko will be remembered as an unquestioning executor of all the tasks of his superiors, but also as a fighter who gave the initiative. He will be remembered by his parents, father Bećir and mother Zubejda as a calm, humble and obedient son, and to his older brother Mirsad not only as a brother but also as a loyal and devoted friend and friend in good and bad, and to his friends as a boy who knew to share with them sincerely both sorrow and joy.
