Born 21 February 1906 Kapunda, South Australia. Son of Sydney and Elizabeth Jane Thomas. Husband of Stella Jean Thomas of Camberwell, Victoria. He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 29 February 1940. He was killed in action in Greece, aged 35 years. 2/7 Battalion, Australian Infantry, A.I.F. - Service No. VX16066
