Teodor Dumitru Toma

Teodor is the firstborn son of Nicolae and Eufrosina Toma. He died at 16 years of age in a tragic accident in the Fagaras Mountains in Sibiu County. He was picking edelweiss in the mountains when he dislodged a boulder. Teodor fell, the boulder rolled on top of him, and started an avalanche of boulders and rocks. He was crushed by the boulders, which continued to roll down the mountain. There was so much rock debris that his body was never found, only the belt he was wearing at the time of the accident, and a few bones. His parents never stopped grieving his loss.
