Theothoros L. Vlahoulis

Theothorus Vlahoulis was the son of Leonides and Aekaterina Vlahoulis. He was the symboliographist (a government lawyer/notary job)for Kontovazaina. During WWII, when the Germans came to the village and many people hid, Theothorus was worried about his wife and children and decided to go down to greet them. They sat in his nephew Spilio Vlahoulis' kafenio and had some coffee. The Germans seemed like reasonable people and they left Kontovazaina in peace. Many other villages were not likewise spared. This is perhaps why many people were suspicious and resentful of him later. Also some people may have just wanted his job, which was a well-paid one. He was killed by the communists during the terrible times of the civil war.
