"Tudor Arghezi" was the pen name of Ion Nae Theodorescu aka Ion N. Theodorescu aka Ion Theo, famous Romanian poet and writer. Mărțișor House is located in the Văcărești neighborhood of București/Bucharest. Arghezi is credited with the invention of a type of poetic novel, "the tablet" (tableta) and something called "the ticket" (biletul), never well defined. His political beliefs fluttered with the wind: He took holy orders in the Cernica Monastery/mănăstirea Cernica in 1899 but quickly tired of being a priest. He claimed to be a pacifist during WW1 but wrote for a pro-German newspaper. He wrote for left-wing magazines such as Dimineața and Adevărul while simultaneously expressing staunchly monarchist views and support for King Carol II (1893-1953). According to some, Arghezi developed a sympathy for the Iron Guard/Garda de fier towards the end of the 1930s (his poem Făt-Frumos was contended to be a homage to the movement's leader, Corneliu Zieliński aka Corneliu Zelea Codreanu (189
