Vesna Veljacic Stojanovic

Vesna Veljacic Stojanovic was born on September 26, 1960, to parents Slavko and Stefanija Veljacic. Ljubenko Seki Stojanovic married Vesna Veljacic on June 13, 1987. They celebrated 29 years of marriage together. Vesna and Ljubenko and their family emigrated in October 1996 to Hurst, Texas (in the Dallas-Fort Worth area) to escape the war in Bosnia, where a fragile peace held no promise for a Serbian man married to a Croatian woman. They were helped and supported by the members of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Hurst, Texas. Vesna and Ljubenko and their family became an integral part of St. Andrew Lutheran Church. They got involved with all the activities and fellowship of the church, and Ljubenko became the Sexton of the church. Vesna was the Assistant Sexton. Their son and daughter, Igor and Sandra, attended to Sunday School and became involved with the Youth of the church. Vesna passed in 2012 in Texas, USA, after a courageous battle with cancer. Vensa is survived by her husband Ljubenko Seki Stojaniocvic, a son Igor Stojanovic, and a daughter Sandra Stojanovic. She is also survived by her father Slavko Veljacic and her mother Stefanija Veljacic.
