Vinko Krašovec

Vink Krašovec was born on July 15, 1923 in Tevče (Municipality of Laško) in a family of fourteen children. He attended the classical high school in Ljubljana and entered the Vincentian order after he graduated, in 1943. Before attending the seminary he was required to spend a year as a novitiate. Along with others of his age, he was mobilized in June 1944 into the Slovenian Home Guard. He served in a teaching capacity in Ajdovščina under an arrangement with Colonel Kokalj that drafted Vincentians would not be required to bear arms. He was in Tolmin when the war ended. He may have been killed there, or he may have been killed in the retreat toward Kobarid in early May 1945. Source: http://www.brezmadezna.com/md/mucenci.htm
