Prime Minister of Romania. A member of the Romanian National Liberation Party, he served as prime minister from November 24, 1927 to November 11, 1928. A member of the prominent Romanian Brătianu family, he studied in France from 1886 to 1890 becoming an engineer. Returning to Romania, he entered politics in 1903 being elected a deputy in the National Representation. He then served as Mayor of Bucharest from 1907 to 1911. He was Romania's Minister of War from August 15, 1916 to July 9, 1917 and then Minister for War Munitions. After the war, he served as Romanian Finance Minister in the administration led by his brother, IoneI from January 19, 1922 to March 9, 1926. After his brother died, he was made prime minister. He is best remembered for stimulating work and defending the interests of the Romanian people and the legitimate rights they had over the country's wealth.
