Hieromonk Barnabas (Wayne Bulloch) was an ordained Orthodox priest and monk serving at Karakallou monastery on the Holy Mountain. Earlier, after a teaching career, he had been ordained an Episcopal priest in 1980, being graduated from Nashotah House Seminary in Wisconsin. After a one year curacy in Tampa, FL, Fr. Wayne returned to Wisconsin where he assisted at St. Thomas, Menasha, for seven years. He then served as rector of St. Paul's, Suamico, and St. Mark's, Oconto, until 1993. During his ministry in the Episcopal Diocese of Fond-du-lac he was Diocesan Spiritual Director for Happening and also became Executive Director of the National Committee from 1987 until 1993 when he sought ministry in the Orthodox Church. He served in various monasteries in the United States before transferring to Karakallou in Greece. Fr Barnabas is interred amidst his brother monks at the monastery.
