The VDK say he died on the 9th April 1941 and "Werner Voigtländer has not yet been transferred to a military cemetery set up by the Volksbund. According to the information we have, his grave is currently still in the following location: Arad - Romania. The Volksbund strives to find the graves of German soldiers on the basis of war graves agreements and to give them permanent, secure resting places. We hope to find Werner Voigtländer's grave in the not too distant future and to be able to transfer the remains to a military cemetery".
