Private 8576 12th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers. Killed in action, aged 25 years. Husband of Frances Jolly, ( nee Longinotto), 18, Liley Street, Rochdale. Children John Edward (b.31.3.1912), Mary A (b.1914) , William (b.1914) and Hilda (b.1915). Son of William and Hannah. Brother of John Edward and Mary Ellen. Enlisted at Rochdale, September 1915. Went to the front in August 1916. Cemetery is 56km from Thessalonika, at end of Lake Ardzan, near football stadium. Brother of Joseph JOLLY who was killed in Belgium and who is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial. Previosuly employed as a glazier
