William Thomas Seales

In memoriam

William Thomas Seales was born on 12th May 1878 and died at Alexandria of enteric fever and dysentery on the 8th July 1915 aged 36. He had a protected occupation (miner at Higham Colliery) before the war but signed up anyway early on. He had never had any previous military connection or training prior to joining up (not even the Territorials) and sailed to Egypt exactly one week after joining up.
