Count Artúr Béla Ferenc Teleki de Szék was born in Sáromberke, Torda cttus, Transylvania, Kingdom of Hungary (Today: Dumbravioara, Mures, Romania) as the third child of count Sámuel Ferenc Teleki de Szék and countess Erzsébet Bethlen de Bethlen. He is the brother of the Africa-explorer count Sámuel Teleki de Szék. He died very young, at the age of 18, in his native village and he is buried in the family burial vault in the same locality.
