Despre cimitir
The oldest Orthodox Christian Cemetery of the Town of Giannitsa. Several Historical and Important Figures for the town of Giannitsa and even for the Macedonian Struggle have been buried here. Unfortunately, very few original graves from the era before 1950s exist. In the 50s the Cemetery was reconstructed and many families managed to move the bones of their ancestors and relatives to reconstructed graves but the original ones from early 20th century, 19th century or earlier have been lost.
