Demetrios Konstantinos “Demetrakis” Karabatsos

Born in the village of Arkoudorema, Arkadia Relocated, possibly due to war, to the village of Chomatada and was a γεωργος, a farmer. Information from 1867 Demos of Methoni Eklogikos Catalogos (electoral register), Demos of Methoni, Eparchy of Pilos, Nomos of Messinia, Greece Demitrios Karabatsos was born in 1808 in Arkoudorema, Arkadia, Greece. He also was known as “Demitrakis.” He lived in Homatada, Messinia, Greece in 1856. “Demitrios Karabatsos” was listed in the 1856 Farmers List as a resident of the village of Homatada. He was age 48, married, with five persons in his family, a georgos (farmer).4 He lived in Hokada, Messinia, Greece in 1867. “Demit[rios] Karabatsos” is listed in the 1867 Methoni Electoral Register as a resident of the village of “Hokada,” father Konstantinos, age 30, a georgos (farmer) Hokada appears to have been an abbreviation or misspelling for the village of Homatada.
