His Parents were William Baldock-Apps and Martha Elizabeth Hook. === Horace was a member of 4th battalion, The Rifle Brigade and was aboard the SS Princess Alberta enroute from Stavros to Mudros, Greece, when she struck a mine that had been laid by German U-Boat UC-23 and sank in Mudros Bay. 33 men aboard the ship drowned, including Horace.
